Default Curve Question's?

Just have a couple qeustions, to see if anyone can help me out...

1) Is there a 'profile' in which the ringer is on, as well as vibrating, if not can you make your own profiles?

2) Is there anyway to use songs on your memory card as your message alert tones?

3) How do you change the length in time in which the phone allows you to operate till it locks you out when you need to re-enter your password?

4) I have heard that with Rogers Wireless there is a way to get free GPS without data and no subscription...could anyone tell me how this is done?

Thanks for all the help !

1. You can not have Vibe and Ring together, you can make new or edit the existing profiles.
2. Yes, any MP3
3. Options > Security > Security Time Out

1. How do I edit my notification tones (profiles)? - BlackBerryFAQ

4. If you have the 8310, you have gps. Just download Google maps, BlackBerry Maps, AmazeGPS, or anyone of the free mapping applications. They are free without a subscription to them. There are better mapping and navigational applications, such as TeleNav, which do cost.

You should attempt Google Maps, at least, i believe BBMaps does require the data plan.

You will need to enable your TCP settings.

Any map application requires a BB dataplan. Map data is not stored on the BB or the SD card and is the programs download map data as you move. The only way to get it is via the BB dataplan.

i'm not so sure, TCP may work for that data with GMM.

I do know for a fact, that GMM will work with the Rogers generic data plan, but BBMaps will not. It is worth the try for the user to determinde.

with rogers just enter INTERNET.COM in TCP(as your APN) and BB Maps or Google Maps will work without bb data. tried on a few devices and thats all you need to get it to work with rogers.
