Default T-mobiles 5.99 web plan

Would that service give me the same access to websites on my curve as connecting to a random through a wifi on my curve for browsing/dl'ing?

Can you not use the 5.99 plan and use the apn settings for TMobile? You don't get any BB data but you should be able to browse the internet with Opera Mini.

And very well you should. That's the best plan for the BB. No hassles that way.

I'm thinking of doing my buyers remorse and getting a shadow instead. To many programs i can't use without a data plan on this curve. I don't email so I'm guessing this phone just isn't for me. I'm an entertainment user but the only open wifi i connect to hardly ever/never works and i can't do any web stuff. It used to be fine but ever since i upgraded the OS twice it just got worse and worse to the connection in my area. I dunno if it's just bad luck or if it's the phone. Just can't really do much right now with this thing and i don't have the money for the 20$ a month BB plan which is ridiculous to why anyone would spend that much extra on there bill. Unless it was a company phone.

$20 is actually pretty economical for unlimited data on a mobile device. Verizon charges something like $40 for 'unlimited' though it's only about 40MB IIRC. Granted Verizon does have a 3G network, it's still quite a bit to pay for a few MB of data.

I think you summed it up nicely. The BlackBerry is not the right device for you.

If $20 has you scared off, return your BB asap!

Maybe a little homework before your next purchase!

Wirelessly posted (7130e: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I can't imagine owning a bb without a inlimited data plan. I'm on it too much not to have it.

fyi for your future tmo phone purchase the shadow in order to do everything you want on it requires a plan and they use the exact same plan as the the BB plan for the shadow so you will get a different phone but with the same bill

Yeah thats what i was thinkin too, and if that was the case then I would might as well just stick with the curve since it still is better than any other tmo phone out right now.

So far, I am impressed with the data plan.

Quick noob question: do I have to pay for Hotspots to make use of the free wi-fi calling?

ETA: answered my own question... answer is "yes".
