I think the OP wants a dropped call alert. A tone in your ear when the call drops.

Other than a network error you will not get one on a BlackBerry.

My Curve has so little static and other background noise that cell phones usually have, that I frequently will think the call has dropped. A tone like this would be nice.

Like I said in the post, it is not an option at this point.

A related question: I have my keypad on silence because I like a QUIET phone. I already know that I can't mute my camera click (drat) but is there a way for me to mute the "bleepdeeleepleeps" that my phone makes when it's dialing from a speed dial? I'd like to cease from announcing to everyone around me that I'm making a call!

Also: is there a quicker way to get into a text screen for the few people I text often? I currently have my right convenience key set for Compose but I still have to scroll around and click a lot to get in there. Can I set up anything like a speed dial key that would take me directly into a text screen for a preset individual?
