Problems with browser

Hello all,

I have a T-mobile 8320. I've had this phone for about a month and absolutely no problems. This morning I am not able to connect to the internet by using the browser. I do have the T-mobile add on blackberry plan. When I first tried after I woke up I would get an error messge stating that the browser could not connect to the internet. I use wifi at home on a linksys router. I turned the the wifi off and went off of T-mobile's network and still same message. I turned the phone off and then back on, no success. I did a battery pull, still nothing. I then tried Google Maps and it too could not get a connection. No when I try I am not getting the same error message. However I am gettin one that reads as follows: "You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication. As a result, the Browser cannot retreive any Web pages. Please try again when you are in a different location, or contact your service provider if the problem persist". Also, I will add that the EDGE icon is not lit and that is the first time I have never not had EDGE with the exception of using the WIFI. Phone works great. Last indication of data usage was an email about 1:00am this morning. Anyone else experiencing problems or any suggestions.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

It could be a tower or local carrier service issue.

Pulling the battery (while powered ON) is one good way to reconnect.

Going to "manage connections" and turn off and on "mobile network" as well as 'WiFi" can troubleshoot it as well.

Good luck!

I did the pattery pull with the power on. I holding for T-mobile. Some just called me on it and said they tried to send a email to my tmo.blackberry.net address and it bounced back.

make sure your account is good, and that the BB DATA PLAN was added.
It can get screwed up.

I noticed you're in Alabama. Are you having any problems. I'm in the Huntsville area. I think you are probably right because there were quite a bit of changes made on my account and could have very well got mixed up.

Hey, Birmingham here. No issues here at all, TMo and AT&T are clear.

I have had people here state they had the BB Data Plan added and it did not get added by accident by the carrier. Human mistake.

I can believe that. I know I've had it, billed for it and have been using it for a month, etc. I found out what happened though. I have 2 lines (1 for me and 1 for my wife). We both got phone's for each other as part of Christmas. Mine was the Curve and she got a Sidekick LX. Well we weren't big fans of the Sidekick after she got it so we sent it back within the 14 days and got the cheaper Rizr. We added the Blackberry add on for mine and then the Sidekick add on for her. Well, when they were correcting the charges on the bill and taking away the sidekick plan mine got messed up to. All is working now and I think you JSanders for your help. (y)
