Default BIS, 8320 and Recovering Memory After Sync

Please Login to Remove!

I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this or if you wouldn’t mind keeping and eye on it.

A little history:

I actively use a T-Mobile 8320. I have never had a low memory issue because of all the wonderful information on this site. The memory on my Curve hovers around 20MB free after reboot with a few applications installed. I usually reboot if I notice the memory getting to 16MB or every three days, whatever occurs first.

I backup my device just about everyday. I do sync to Outlook but only once a week. I am never in the office and I rely on the BlackBerry’s information.

So here comes the question / discovery. I wonder how efficient the database is that keeps track of changed information on the BlackBerry. I noticed that doing a battery pull after a Sync takes my available memory up to 22MB versus the normal 20MB. I realize this is not a huge issue but just something I ran across. On average the changes needing sync’d are about 40 calendar entries and a few address book updates.

Again just a heads up. I don’t have any issues, well at least with the BlackBerry.

Thanks,

Troy
