I receive yahoo and gmails on my BB. But I don't want to receive e-mails between 10pm and 7am.

How do I set it ?

i have my phone set ,so it turns off completely from 3-7am. don't know if it will help, but that's all i got

You can go into options and turn data services off. You will receive the emails when you turn data on again.

Or you can turn the BB off, as stated in post above. You will receive emails when you turn the BB on.

Or you can change to another profile to turn off the email alerts. You will continue to receive emails, but not have the alerts.

It is your call.

I hit the Silent profile when I go to bed. Then my mail is waiting for me when I emerge from the bathroom and get my first cup of coffee. NOTHING gets done before that. (Too much information?)

I have been trying to find this option as well. As for me, I am on call at night. So, I DO want to hear my phone vibrating but not my emails.

Any 3rd party apps that would help?

Use the Phone Only profile.

You have a few options including:

Using the auto on/auto off feature.
Edit the vibrate profile, not to vibrate when you receive emails.
Using the silent profile.
Turning off data services.

Each option has its advantages and disadvantages....hope this helps.

At night mine goes into Phone only mode. I then setup the "VERY IMPORTANT" email address's as level 1 and then setup a nice alert for that in case someone needs to reach me via email in the middle of the night.

Go into your profiles and set your notifications for mute and not to vibrate when not in the holster. I do the same thing. At night, I don't want to be bothered. So at night when I go to bed, just leave it out of the holster and viola, I can sleep.

No need to mess with connections and all that.

I have the same issue, but I don't have a holster. I'd love to have it automatically change to Phone Only mode when I plug the BB in to charge - that way I don't need to remember to change it. Is there a way to do that?

No, unless you build a charger with a magnet that lines up on the BB's sensor.

It is SO simple. Just set up another profile. Blackberry is very good with profiles and you can get your device to do about what ever you want.
