Is there a way to set standby mode to automatically go silent? Or, is there a shortcut to silence the device?

If not, is anyone aware of any kind of application that would link the standby mode to the quiet profile?

Not quite sure what you're asking. Are you talking about when you use the power button to go into Stanby mode? Or just asking how to make it silent?

Same here.... Maybe I don't understand what you want. One option is to assign profiles to a convenience key, use the key to bring up your profiles, and change profile to either quiet or off. I don't know what the shortcut is on your model, but on the 8700, for instance, holding the mute button will switch profile to vibrate; holding again will switch back to the original profile. Finally, you could edit your usual profile to either no alert or vibrate when holstered. Your call.

Sorry for the confusion. What I want is when I put the device into standby mode (pressing the mute button) for it to simultaneously go into silent mode. I know this sounds picky but it is for one of our Execs . Or, if there is a shortcut (I do not believe there is one) to set the device into silent mode instantly, that would work, too.

I guess one way to accomplish this would be to get a holster and set the profile to vibratre when in holster and completely mute when out. Would that work? I think even an exec can take it out of the holster. But they would have to put it back again, nvm, they prob can't handle that.
