Question copying files with "bluetooth" - 12-31-2007, 01:15 PM

I paired my blackberry 8310 with my imac over bluetooth. Is there any way to copy digital pictures off the blackberry without installing special software on the mac?

Thanks

This might be possible. It is possible for ring tones and mp3 music for example. Here is an article about that on how to transfer ringtones using Bluetooth. This should work for pictures as well. The article is about how to copy those files from a Mac OS X machine but it should on Windows PCs as well.

I started "Bluetooth File Exchange" on my mac and successfully paired with the 8310. Then from the File menu I selected "Browse Device" and the "BlackBerry 8310" showed up. I selected it and clicked "Browse" and after a few seconds of the spinning icon, it comes back and says "Found 0 Device(s)". After a few seconds it tries searching again, but continues to fail.

Any more ideas would be much appreciated!!

Thanks.

Actually, I think that was just browsing for additional devices.

I found that if I double-click the "BlackBerry 8310", it will say "Connecting to the device", then it says "The device does not have the necessary services".

Thanks again.
