Default Error message 507 and then 543

Well Im sure this thread has been done a billion times, but Im stuck in a bind. Im trying to fix my buddies Curve, but it's really messed up. Anyhow I've wiped using JLCmder and that brings me to error message 507. Which means, as far as I know, that there is no OS on the machine. Perfect. Because prior to that it was telling 543, which is that the OS is wrong...or something along those lines.

So I use Desktop Manager and try to load 4.2.2.180, and what does that bring me too??...right back to 543. It just wont take it for some reason. This is a T-Mobile Curve if that gives any more info. I just dont know what to do

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

try wiping again with jlCmder. redownload the OS from the tmobile website or the latest 8320 OS listed on this site. load the new OS instead of what you had previously tried to load.

You should be good to go with Sith_Apprentice's recommendation.

I agree. In fact, I would try with the 4.2.2.184 in the sticky at the top of the 8300 forum. JL_Cmder doesn't really wipe the info off the device. it just makes the device able to accept the new OS. The device will still tell Desktop Manager what OS is on it, even though it's not usable. So, try with the newer version in the sticky. 4.2.2.184 is very stable with the TMo 8320 so you should have nothing to worry about.
