Default Service Books - 01-18-2008, 12:57 PM

Is there any way to download Service Books directly into the BB via the USB?

I'm having trouble getting email working. T-Mobile (UK) have spent 2 days passing me from Tech Guy to Account Manager to who-knows-where (those of you who use T-M UK will understand the problem). Basically they keep telling me they will resend my service books but nothing arrives. Also I have tried sending service books from my Internet Service account - but still nothing.

So, I'm looking for a more direct approach!

I don't beleive that there is a way to do this. What are you reporting for Signal and service? You may want to try Updating your host routing tables and then sending the books. Also validate the PIN and IMEI in your BIS account making sure they match.

Edit - P.S. I am presuming that you have already tried a battery pull of course!

I, too, think that service books are only OTA and not via USB.

Are you sure they have your account up and activated?

You can't go to your own BIS site and send yourself service books?

Done the battery pull. Also updated my routing tables. The PIN and IMEI are also OK. Strange thing. When I first registered the emails on the BIS - I receive a 'congratulations' email on the BB. But since then nothing. If I try to send from the BB I get a 'Service Blocked' error. If I try to send to my BB from Outlook I get a GENERAL_ERROR message - but T-M says that all my settings are OK.

Looks like another thrilling day fighting T-M Tech Support ......

You can load service books via USB, HOWEVER, if they are not pushed from the carrier, they may not work (eg. I can load the MSN Live Msnger service books manually, however, since that service book is not pushed and supported on my carrier's side, it still does not work)
