help moving sms from sim to phone

I just got the Blackberry Curve 8310. I saved like 10 sms messages from my old phone, Samsung D807, onto the sim card but I can't seem to open them on the curve. I can't even find them. I've looked online to find ways to retrieve them from the sim using the D807, but all I can find is how to save the messages to the sim... *sigh* Can anyone help?:?

I have never seen an option to move SMS messages to or from the SIM on a Blackberry. I think this is an option that Blackberry does not support.

I'd have to do a bit of Google'ing to be sure, though.

Erm, not sure but....

Hi,

Sorry, I can't help... But I was wondering if anyone has managed to change the settings to save their SMS onto their phone (rather than the SIM) like all my Nokia's did (First post so I apologise if the N word is not appreciated  ) as I don't really use SMS and I have run out of space a couple of times...

Cheers,

Stu

Your SMS are stored on the device and not the SIM. If you have having problems running out of space you should review the following:

You should be able to go into your messages and do the following:

Menu Button > View Folder > SMS SIM Card Inbox

Your saved SIM messages should be there. As far as pulling them off the SIM, I have yet to find an option that allows you to do that.

Go into Options/SMS Text, then set the "Leave Messages on SIM Card" to "No"
