Default Is it possible to unlock the camera??

Please Login to Remove!

I recently bought a phone from my friend who found it in a bar. I put my SIM card in it, and it works fine, but the camera doesn't work. Also, I can't disable the password and there is a little red lock where it says ENABLED in password options. I guess the phone was used as a business phone by whoever owned it first. Is it possible for me to get the camera unlocked and have it so I don't have to put in a password every time I wanna use the phone???

The only way to do this is to remove the IT policy that is on the device. You can check BlackBerryFAQ.com for the instructions.

Better yet check the owners info and return it to whom it belongs

Good rule, good man.

It's unfortunate more people won't do things like that.

My little brother's 160gig iPod he got for Christmas was stolen from his backpack the other day. We told him not to take it to school, but he shouldn't have to worry about things like that in the first place.

I would return it if I thought it was even remotely possible to find out who owned it in the first place. It was found during christmas when alot of people were home from away. The person I bought it off sold me it with no SIM card and theres no info on it about anyone that previously owned it. So i'm keeping it.

You can contact the carrier and they can track the owner by the IMEI of the device.

It's not yours. Plain and simple. Just because you don't think you'll find the owner, and you paid for it, doesn't mean you own it.
I hope it's GPS enabled with tracking software installed.

Juwaack is correct!

The carrier can look it up by imei! Then conttact the owner.

Give it a shot it is the least you should do!

It may seem tempting to keep it, but it wouldn't be right. Imagine what the previous owner of that device must've felt..especially if the phone isn't theirs, but their employers.

Return it to the owner.

You are in luck as it is MORE than remotely possible to find the owner! Simply call the carrier!

Give me the IMEI and the carrier - I'll find the owner for you.
