Is their anyway to password protect folders so that the contents cannot be viewed without a password being entered? I particularly would like to know if this feature exist for my folders in my media section of my phone that contains pics.


I hate when someone pics up my phone to "look" at it and scrolls thru my pictures. As we all know some pics aren't meant for all to see...lol.

Any help with this would be great!


P.S. if their is any 3rd party software that provides this function please share which ones!!!

You need to password protect your entire device. There is not a way to singly protect certain applications or folders.

Bummer. I have the same problem. My friends get my phone and head straight to the pictures section. I just put the pics on the memory card so they are harder to find. At least when they go to media, it on shows the pics on the device memory.

The best way to hide your Christmas Pictures opening presents with grandma are to:

1. Password protect your device.

2. Put those holiday pictures down a few levels of folders. Mine are in the picture directory on the card under /System/Blackberry/Backup/Apps/ then all my pictures for people not to see.

3. Don't keep those pictures on your phone.

Solution: Get better friends.

i just tell them i dont have any pics in there ... now that i think about it .. that wouldnt be good....i have some in there i forgot about... thanks for the reminder
