Start wth a hard reset (Battery Pull while the device is on). Does it help?

Wirelessly posted (8310: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

You can change the size picture saved. I save to a MicroSD card, and saving a large pic (1600x1200) takes 8 seconds, while a medium picture (1024x768) takes 4 seconds. Picture quality would affect size saved as well.

wow, 8 seconds?

I have a curve with a Sandisk 1 gig card and it takes literally 2 seconds to save a picture once it's taken on the highest settings.

It also depends on the media card you're using. Some perform a lot faster than others.

I wonder if the size of the card has anything to do with it. It shouldn't, but there could be a possibility.
