| BlackBerry Issues Please Login to Remove! I have the BlackBerry Curve.
1) Syncing calendar events are now sometimes truncating the message. I maybe have 600-1000 characters (not anywhere near the limit of 4096 I read). However, it seems to cut the messages off.
2) Second problem, how do I sync my pictures or copy them to my HD?
3) Emailing them is now having an issue when I send it, it says "Message cannot be sent"
So, how can I use Media Manager to get my pictures off of my phone?
Thanks

| 1- Do you mean in the notes section of the calendar event?
2- You can't sync them, but you can copy them from your Media Card to your PC, like this: How do I add media files to my microSD card? - BlackBerryFAQ.com
3- Where are the pictures stored, device memory or Media card? | | Offline

(Yes)
3- Where are the pictures stored, device memory or Media card?
(Device Memory) - I use to be able to send pictures fine. But recently I cannot, over a couple days.
Thanks

| media manager will be able to access the device memory. if you have a media card you can just go to your pictures on your device, hit menu, select move, and copy to the media card memory. As for the MMS, there is a size limit of i *think* 300kb on the image. | | Offline

| 3- odd that you can't email them. go to Media, Pictures, highlight over the picture (don't open it) and press Menu > Move and move to your Media Card.

| I do not have a media card. Do I need one in order to move pictures from my blackberry to my pc?
Is the limit of 300kb for emailing attachments? How big is a normal picture?
Thanks

| i have a 2mb word document that i have saved in an email and i can forward that email with no issues. i am sure there is an effective limit on the attachment size, but it cannot be that small.

| Could the email thing just be my carrier at the moment? Maybe that will be fixed in a day or two more (Like I said before, it was working)
Any ideas on why my calendar notes are getting truncated at like 1000 characters or so?

Who is your carrier. Your profiles says you're not sure... might be helpful to know that. | | Offline

| AT&T does not restrict the size of the emails to that small... at least I have attached and emailed up to 3.5MB just recently, from my BB. | | Offline

| Guys:
Thanks, the picture item is resolved.
1 more issue, actually 2.
1) Any clues as to why my calendar events are getting truncated, WELL before the 4096 mark I have read.
2) I have to change the date on the PC to actually sync older events. Any real fix to this? If I make a change to yesterday's calendar, I have to change my date to sync it.
Thanks

| WHOA, how did it get resolved? We like to know what worked SO other users (namely me!) will learn from your experience!
2- there is a setting in the Desktop Manager sync setup to include a range of dates in the calendar sync. Check that, it is commonly set to future dates. | | Offline

| JSanders,
I used Media Manager (Which when I turned on Mass Storage) I could see my pictures and just copy and paste them onto my system. Perfect!
Ever had issues with events getting truncated?
Where is that setting?, I must be missing it.
Thanks!

| Guys,
OK, Found the issue.... when I type an appointment, my message shows up in the subject line in Outlook which is limited to 256 characters. (Which on the blackberry, the subject has no limit it seems)
So, how do I enter my details into the message area. Where is that if lets say I was looking at the subject/location screen?
Thanks

| I may not be clear on what you are asking.
On the BB.. at the bottom of the new appointment screen, Notes:
In Outlook: open a new appointment and there will be a large box | | Offline

| Scenario:
Looking at your calendar on a Day view, you see your entry for 5:00pm.
- Open the Entry by simply clicking on it. You have all the appointment details now in front of you.
From the Appointment details you can set the Subject, Location. Below this you can now set the Event's times (All day, Specific time, time zone, Show Time As, etc.). Just below this you have the recurrence and how often the recurrence occurs. The Mark as Private is simply for synchronizing with your Outlook or other calendar so that it will only show as private and the information is hidden from other users.
Here's probably what you're looking for....
The Notes section at the bottom of the Calendar entry is where you would input all of your information (the 4096 Characters you were discussing) of what would be occuring at the meeting; i.e., important members of the meeting, specific line items to discuss, etc.
Hope that helps. | | Offline
