Default No Rhyme or Reason to Icon

Is there any rhyme or reason to the placement of the icons on the desktop? Is there any way to sort them by type or alphabetically?

Depending on theme....

If you go into the applications folder, you can drag the icons around my hitting the Menu>move option. Arrange them as you like. The first 5 in the list will show up on your home screen using the Zen theme.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

No command to sort. You can manually move them.

Yeah, the screen icons are all done by personal preference. I use the basic Zen theme and just set my main 3 message traffic addresses, my browser, and my calendar on the main screen. I also don't use PTT so I assigned the left Thumb Key to my Address Book, very handy.
