8320 UMA Issue
 

I have a strange issue going on with my TMobile 8320 that just started a couple of days ago. My device will connect to the WiFI network but never switches over to UMA. If I check the WiFi diagnostics it shows "UMA Connection Suffessful" but the home screen never shows UMA. I have the device set to wifi preferred. If I turn the mobile network to off it will automatically switch to UMA. As soon as I turn the mobile network back on it goes back GPRS/EDGE.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be my router. I am able to control individual wireless connections to my router and I ended up moving my 8320 connection to outside the router's built-in firewall (e.g. moved to the 'DMZ'). Once I made the change, I rebooted the router and everything's been fine since then.

yea thats the same problem i had. i went through the faq section on router settings and works fine now. depending on the router you use you might find answers in the same section

This issue has been resolved. It turned out to be a device problem. I had my device replaced for an unrelated issue and it is now working.
