AOL Instant Messenger for Curve 8300 I have the Curve 8300 and am on the ATT Network. I am on the BIS data plan. I am unable to download AOL Instant Messenger for the Curve. Is there a reason I am having this problem? Suggestions? Thanks |
Don't bother with it. Purchase Jivetalk for $20 and use that instead. It's light years ahead of any other IM client for BlackBerry, IMO. BeeJive :: JiveTalk mobile messenger - instant messaging to go |
theres always this option from Ramble. its free and just for AOL |
I would check out JiveTalk. I never liked Ramble. |
i like jivetalk ... but some people dont want to put out the money for it so i always mention Ramble. |
When is AOL going to come out with a version for the Curve users, to use? Hasn't it been like 2 years since they came out with the original one? |
I'm using AIM version 1.1.15 on my 8320 with no issues. |
Ramble doesnt seem to work at all lately. There is no support for Ramble anymore the company is defunct. Just buy Jivetalk you wont be disappointed. |

Mine came installed on my 8320 but you can try. Get it Now : Open your mobile web browser & go to Send To Cell allows you to send AOL applications to your mobile phone - AOL Mobile or Send to Cell |
I can only get up to 30 friends on my AIM in my Tmobile curve!?! Ok, I have been researching on this and it seems like I may be the only one with this problem. I can only get up to 30 friends on my aim in my curve. I had a sidekick three and today I bought a new curve. On my sidekick my aim worked great but now with my curve, it just only wants to take 30 friends. Is that how it is for everyone? |

But at the moment, I'm testing the curve out and wondered if the AIM vers. 1.1.15 is using SMS bucket or is it using my data plan? |

WebMessenger & Bing There are two free softwares that support AIM. 1. WebMessenger WebMessenger software allows you to access to AIM, Google, MSN Messenger/Window Messenger, ICQ and Yahoo from your BlackBerry. Here is a link: WebMessenger Inc. 2. Bing Bing software also allows you to access up to 3 apps. Link encloses: bing - your mobile room for good friends - Home JiveTalk remains to be a superior IM software.(y) Ramble software is S U CK for sure!(n) |
the aim that came preloaded on my 8320 works fine. there's just about a 1-2 second lag when receiving messages but thats not a big deal. graffitimonkie...the aim uses data not sms. |
does the aim version uses your sms?? is there an AIM app that does not use sms? can someone confirm.. thanks |
