Default Desktop manager does not start when I connect my 8320

Desktop manager used to start up when I connected my 8320. Now it just makes a few dings (I think it finds the SD card as storage device). I had changed it to wireless reconcile recently and thought that might be the problem as everything synchs wirelessly now, but same thing even when I changed it back to no wireless reconcile.

Is the connector running in your system tray?

Its been my experience that DM has to be launched prior to plugging in. Windows, will, of course, see mass storage with your media card set to mass storage mode, but I've never seen DM pop up upon connection. Unless you're referring to the BB device manager that runs in the task bar.

It must be Device Manager you are referring to in synhcing to your Blackberry, because Desktop Manager has never automatically started for me upon connection of my BB to the system?

Even device manager doesn't normally start for me when I connect the device.
