Default Please Help- New 8300

Please Login to Remove!
I purchased an 8300 Curve from a private party, so the BB has been used for a month. When I got it home and loaded the BBDesktop MAnager CD, I pluged the 8300 into it and hit Application Loader. It read "the BB software does not have BB Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer." Could someone please help me to have my BB be recognized on my computer.

the BB has OS 4.2.2

I tried downloading the same version, and after downloading, the software would not install.

What do you mean, "it would not install?"

You need it or you'll never get rid of that error.

After downloading I start the process to install new OS. It says "1607: Unable to install InstallShield runtime"
???????????????????????????
