Default Got my BB Curve 8320 today, unsure of something.

Hey guys, been reading this site for a month now, u guys are very helpful and informative.

I got my curve 8320 today and got it unlocked.

I'm in Canada so I'm using rogers, I currently have no data plan at all and just using the phone for voice and wi-fi. I've never had a BB before and I'm completely new to smartphones. I have one question, when I'm in a call the "blue arrows" indicating "data transfer" appear when i'm making a phone call in the top right hand corner. They do not blink or anything, they are just there. Is this normal? Or is some data being transferred and Rogers is going to charge me?

oh yea i disabled the wi-fi radio too.

Thanks guys.

voice calls will show transfer as well. its merely the device sending and receiving.

You can turn off data by going to Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options > Dataservices > Off.
