so i have .180 on my 8320 and my GPS device no longer works so I'd like to go back to .175.

I have the software, but am not sure how to downgrade the BB OS. is there a thread w/ details on this?

thats what i thought would work as well, however an OS update does not come up as an option in app manager after following the described steps.

Did you uninstall the new OS under add/remove programs and also delete the vendor.xml after installing the old OS?

The Handheld OS is installed on the computer? Check the add/remove programs feature in the control panel of your pc.

Yes. i deleted the 'old' OS correctly, installed the .175 version successfully, removed the vendor.xml file from the common directory.
fired up Desktop manager, clicked on Appl Loader and it goes through the configuration check and does not find any updates.

I've verified that .175 software installed properly.

just checking w/ the forum to see if this is a known issue or not.

Yep, i've confirmed that i am an idiot. i d/l'd the 8300 instead of 8320 version.
