So I recently installed the Desktop Manager on my computer, but the media manager seems to be very sketchy. It takes a while to load and when it finally loads up, I try to make an action, and it freezes up. Any ideas?

What version of DM did you install? Version 4.3 has been reported as buggy, and most people downgrade to version 4.2.2.....

I can't manage my media using a micro SD card considering I do not have one yet. I just want to put a sample song on there to see how it sounds. But okay, I will get a micro SD card ASAP. So is it likely I can get my BB to support an 8gb? Phonescoop says that it holds 4gb but then it says that it will hold more when bigger cards are available.

it will not hold larger now... it is according to the OS, not the model number.

Yes, I already knew that it has to do with the OS. However I have heard of people formatting their micro SD cards to get them to work with a lower OS. Is that true?

If you get an 8gb now, you should be able to format it for 4gb ON your BB.

Then perhaps when the higher OS is available, you can reformat for the larger.

I would not promise it, but it should work that way.

However, for the price, if you want to wait for the OS to be available, get a $20 2gb now, and by the time the new OS comes around the 6-8 gb cards will be down to a decent price... my opinion.

Well sure, another media card will work, but it will only USE the amount that the OS will allow.

If I put an 8G card in my 8830, I will only get to use 4G.
