I have an 8310 and can pair to my laptop no problem. However in Device (v4.2.2.10) and Desktop manager (V 4.2.2.14), the bluetooth options are greyed. I have the toshiba bluetooth stack V2.0 1.2 1.1

I have removed the Blackberry software, the toshiba BT stack, reinstalled the stack and the Blackberry software, but still frustratingly grey !

Suggestions would be appreciated as I hate wires !!!

The Bluetooth options will ONLY be available if you have a Bluetooth receiver using the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. So it has to be a receiver that has native Windows drivers. This issue drove me crazy when I was trying to get mine to work.

Thanks for this, but the linked forum is all greek to me. What is a inf file and where do I find it? And I have built-in bluetooth in my laptop, so the whole part about inserting the bluetooth dongle in the USB port to get the pnPID from the Device manager doesn't apply.

Can anybody give me step-by-step instructions on how to make my bluetooth work again? When my laptop was running Vista, it worked fine. I've since downgraded to XP, it doesn't work.
