Default Curve and O2 UK

Please Login to Remove!

Good evening everyone.

I am trying to use my curve on an O2 (UK) data plan. However, after changing the APN as per Mark Rejhon's "How to Configure Full Internet Access On BlackBerry" Opera Mini still doesn't connect.

Its probable that I am missing something as I am a complete newbie to this phone.

Any help would be very appreciated

username: o2wap

password: password

However, I don't seem to be able to add the gateway IP or port number on the APN screen. It maybe that O2 only want connections to go through a Blackberry plan?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the APN accessed data is considered as "O2 wap" and is not considered as blackberry data, which means is 1 pound per mb.

I am in no position to correct anyone as I know nothing about these phones. O2 have sold me 200mb per month of bolt on data stating that this would allow browsing. Maybe maybe not.

All I require of this phone is to be able to log into my webmail account. At present all I can do is phone, text and use the media side of this curve. Currently, it is less practical use than my three year old Sony.

If anybody has any ideas or help please advise as a month trying to figure out a phone is ridiculous
