Everytime I try to compose an email I get a message saying : "No message services configured, You will only be able to Save Draft." Can anyone help out on this one ?

Have you set up your email account on your BIS website? If not, you need to do that. If you have, then resend your service books from your BIS account.

I am assuming that you have a BB dataplan and it is properly provisioned by your carrier.

Once you resend the service books and with the phone on, pull the battery for about 30 seconds and let the device reboot.

I do have the data plan with AT&T. To be more specific, when I go to "personal email set up" > "Add an Email Account" , I enter my user name @hotmail.com and my password, I click next and a message says "An error occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again. If the error persists please contact your email account provider."

ok, look at Options > Advanced > Service Books. Do you see listed there the email address which is pushed the BB... with an @ symbol.

Do you already receive email on the BB?

Do you have THE BlackBerry Data Plan?

I do not see the @ symbol next to anything in the Service Book section. I have a blackberry email account open. I currently do not recieve email at this time, and I have the Data plan through AT&T.

OH wait, you have hotmail...I just reread your second post in this thread. Microsoft disables all the some older hotmail accounts from pushing to the BB... that is just a problem with Microsoft.

if you get that message, you won't be able to put your hotmail account on the BB.

That sucks... that is my main email account. There is no way to get hotmail ?

Only on the older hotmail accounts, and I have never been able to find out "where" the grandfathered in account dates lies... it is very vague. It sounds like yours is one of those not allowed.

You can upgrade to the Hotmail Plus... that works well, about $20/year. I think I recall reading that hotmail will also NOT forward automatically, so you probably cannot autoforward all your hotmail to a newly created gmail or whatever (I am not positive though, if it will forward, do that).
