After reading all my BB messenger msgs there is still one smiley face on my screen. Anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Try pulling the battery for 30 or more seconds. If that doesn't do it, try switching to another theme and back.

you can try a force end conversation first, then pull battery if that fails.

The battery pull is the first thing to try when the blackberry is not working right. Nothing will be lost. 1st step to take if device is having problems? - BlackBerryFAQ.com

Default Smiley Face - PTT?

Are you sure that isn't the "Push To Talk" icon, showing that that feature is available? I have that showing on my Curve, just under the EDGE indicator. - Wild Bill

I've had that too. Here's how I get rid of it: Go back into the BB Messenger conversation, scroll up and down over the most recent messages and in and out of the box, press the menu button (immediately left of trackball), choose "reply".

It's a bit convoluted, and I've no idea why it works, or what element of it works, but it does always get rid of the last smiley face for me.
