Default Audio player, albums, artists, playlists, etc???

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings, I'm new to the forum. I have an 8310

I have been trying to figure out the media player. As I upload music on to the phone I have no way of organizing it or selecting certain songs to play. Basically it mashes everything together into one folder regardless of how I attempt to transfer the files in folders, albums, etc.

How do I organize music on the Blackberry, or at the minimum how do I set up a playlist? I'd really like to have the phone just play an album at a time.

Every time I go into "artist" or "album" it shows "unknown"... any idea how to make this feature work?

Thanks,

Andrew

Wirelessly posted (8320 Curve: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You need to edit the ID3 tags of the song.

Media manager in BB desktop allows you to do this. You can also use itunes or WMP. Drag and drop, edit the info, the throw on the berry. It should work

I did what I believe to be what you said - in the upper right window, while having albums selected in the left upper window, I select all songs, right click, and select edit tags. The tags are all up there - artist, album, etc.

Then I select copy down or move down, the songs copy to the BB, but none of the information or sorting info seems to transfer over and the songs are still all mashed together.

Perhaps I am doing the procedure wrong?
