Odd, I've never seen one that "says no os". Usually it's a picture, like maybe a duck or something? or a circle with a slash? I dunno.

Do you have water damage to the BBs? look at the sticker inside the battery compartment, small white 1/8" square sticker, is it white or red?

those two links are all I know to tell you.

I tried the battery thing, that seemed to work better, got a little further into the installation, but when I put the battery in, it messed up again.

The water mark is white, no water damage.

sounds like they are missing imei and a few other things that can only be factory loaded, thats y u cant install the OS. and im pretty sure there is no way you can do this, they could and likely are stolen devices that weren't configured.

Devices with no IMEI? I've never heard of that.

There are no options for a PIN FFFFFFFF device. It's dead. Sorry.

Do a search for "FFFFFFFF" (I just did one and quite a few threads came up)and you'll see that there is no fix for this. It has to go back to RIM. That's the only error that I know of that means "dead device" as far as we are concerned. RIM may be able to fix them but there is no fix that we know of.

I would buy the housing for the same purpose as Nextel, -IF- colorware allowed us to do that. I sent them an email asking to do this, to which I received a "Request Denied" response.
