Voice recording on the BB 8310

Where is it??? I just came from a Nokia 6230i and it seems to have more functionality than the new BB. Can I get a free voice recording app from anywhere?

Thanks. :?

How do I install it?? I downloaded the ZIP file to my hdd, and ran the Application Loader from the BB Desktop Manager and after I select the "VoiceRecorderPlus.alx" file, I get the error:

No additional applications designed for your device where found

So what now?

NOT FREE. It's just a 7-day free trial then it costs $25 (that saves you the 4 clicks it would have taken to find out the price)

Thanks. I'm trying to download the Desktop Manager V4.3 but I keep getting about 30 of the 80 MBs and the download stops. Tried this at home and work with the same result. I'm using the BlackBerry site.

Where else can I get this file?

Isn't that the Send Voice Note application? Or do you have an application that records your voice and saves it to memory? I believe the Voice Recorder application that saves to memory or a MicroSD card is only available in the 4.3 OS and higher.

Well a good friend of mine just died yesterday and I had a voicemail from her on my landline machine. So I recorded the message with my bb and saved it to my sd card. I havent ever downloaded a voice recording app, so I dont know.

What version OS do you have on your BB? Mine is 4.2.2.146.

The voice recorder that comes with my Curve is "Send Voice Note"...and that's just what it does....it doesn't save or allow you to attach to an email. I actually use Multiply from Dollars5 for the voice recording which allows you to save it and then attach it to an email. I forget if this app was free...some Dollars charges for. It's been a while so I forget. But maybe I'll look at VR+ also! I'm on 4.2.2.171 TMO.

My condolences on the loss of your friend.. I hope it wasn't sudden or shocking loss.

On topic now: I have yet to find a voice recorder so far, but I will be trying the Send Voice Note app.
