Default Curve randomly stopped working :(

Hi everyone, im new here and desperatly looking for help. My blacknerry jsut stopped working like 20 mins ago. It says "off" in the top right corner where the signal strength usually is and my carrier icon "fido" is not on the main screen.

my phone is branded to t-mobil but i have been using it on the fido network for month with no problems... please help :( i need my blackberry for work, i would be very grateful for any help.

did my blackberry some how get locked??

just go to Manage Connections and make sure the item Mobile Network has a check mark, hit the space bar if it's unchecked

OMG THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!! WOW i jsut almost paid to get a unlock code! i have no idea how that got unckecked but im very grateful! you really kno ur stuff and thanks for the reply quick

small problem now, phones working again but now my emails wont send or recieve. Do i just need to wait for a bit for the netwrok to kick in again or was something reset?

first: go to Options > Mobile Network, make sure Data Services is ON; if it won't work just do a battery pull, take the battery out (without turning off your device) and put it back in after 20-30s; BTW, the only time you would be needing an unlock code is let's say your device is locked to Fido and you want to move on with a different carrier, if Fido had it locked only for use with them, then that's the time you need to get the unlock code

i'll be here 'til you get it working, post back; here's the current board stats:

hi, it says "on" so i pulled the battery and tried that but my emails still say "pending" and wont send. also tried sending a test email to my blackbarry but that also doesnt work..... any ideas??

resend your service books by going to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > press the BB button and select Register Now; your emails did work before right? im sure they did

ITS WORKING!! I donno what was going on but it jsut sent my messages, havent recieved the test emails i sent tho but im sure they will come through eventually right?

thanks for ur help these blackberrys can be weird sometimes

just out of curousity whats the "BB button" u said? jsut incase i dont recieve these emails and need to try that service book thing

i think you just had to wait a little bit for it; oh the BB button is actually the button to the left of the trackball, i think it's also called the menu button; good thing it's working okay now! great job

yes im very happy except still not recievign messages so i did the service book thing and it said message sent.... so what does that do exactly?
