When I send a normal E-mail, things work fine, but when I try to add a picture, it sends ok, then comes back with a 'transaction error - bad format' message.

What gives?

What file type are you trying to send? How large is the file? Is this a file you loaded onto your device or a picture you took with the camera? Have you tried sending the email to a different person? Are you on a BES?

If this is an error you are getting back in an email then whoever you are trying to send to could have something set up to reject attachments or something like that.

Size of the attachment is not likely the issue unless you are leaving your signal area while sending a large file. i have sent up to 3.8mb of files from my BB, but I was stationary and was not mobile at the time.

I am having the same problems. I can send e-mail's fine, but if I try and send an e-mail with a photo that I have taken with the camera, it doesn't work. Comes back 'transaction error - bad format'. I am using Desktop redirector, my server uses MS Exchange. I am on Telus. I have tried multiple e-mails to multiple people, and any time there is a photo in it, it doesn't work.
