They only mentioned that it won't drop in Feb. (no surprise there). Let's hope for March, but realistically April sounds a lot more likely.

and VZW doesnt disable anything. they just lock it to their own specific applications. When sprint started with GPS, you could only use TeleNav with it as well. This is not anything that is new in the Wireless industry, just currently VZW is the only one of the major carriers that does this in the states.

Hopefully the CDMA curve release will be like the 8703e and be just only several days apart from verizon to sprint or sprint to verizon, whomever gets it first. can't wait to test these guys out!

With the Pearl, both Verizon and Sprint pre announced the phone at least a month or so before it was released. I imagine the same will be true here. As there are no announcements yet in either camp, I can't imagine it coming any sooner then late Spring.

AWESOME! I just got the pearl because of upgrade discount on one of my lines to replace the recently toileted 8703e, and will have another upgrade available on one of my lines in May hopefully just in time the curve will be out. I need that full keyboard and big screen.

can someone answer this, im assuming the curve will have the MMS capability of the pearl to send pics and clips to other vzw members. i hated the fact the 8703e didn't have this feature.

VZW 8330 (Curve) - Current BB
VZW 8130 (Pearl) - Hidden in a box.
VZW 8703e - Went down the toilet.

More than likely, since if the pearl does have it, I wouldnt' think verizon or sprint would botch the CDMA curve , though like i say to everyone, i'll believe it when i have it and see it and do it! heh

Default will this have wi-fi - 02-11-2008, 11:23 PM

I am assuming not, but here's to hoping. If it does, I will upgrade from my 8703, if not, I'll probably wait.
