I just got my new curve and for some reason the standard browser application is missing. Does anyone know why it would be like this or how i could get it back? Thanks.

Do you have a blackberry data plan? If so, resend service books.

Do you have a blackberry data plan? If you do, try to go to options > advanced > host routing table > menu > register now. If that doesnt work, then try a battery pull. If THAT doesnt work, log into your providers BIS site (www.cingular.com/blackberrystart ) and resend the service book

Did you try the suggestions? Did you get the browser back?

i have the unlimited data plan on AT&T. I just got this new curve as a replacement for my old one that was defective and i know that my old curve came with the browser standard.

i logged into the site and had the "service books" resent and then i just received a message on my bb saying it worked.

log into your account online via Cell Phones and Cell Phone Plans from AT&T, formerly Cingular Wireless and see if the blackberry data plan in listed. if you have a media net plan, (for instance if they changed it when you did the upgraded) you wont get the browser icon.

odd things happen when CS or Reps upgrade/replace devices. They do log into your account to update notes at the very least. Ive seen reps processing upgrades instead of replacements. Cant hurt to check?

I also just upgraded my 8300 to the latest handheld software. I sent the service books and no browser! I did a battery pull, restart, register handheld and no luck. What is going on?

Thanks I have been reading the forums for a while but this is my first time posting. I have the BIS Unlimited plan. I have also upgraded many times in the past. I had the internet prior to my upgrade but after no internet. Even after the service books. I did modify the LBS and Blackberry ALX files in order to get the themes and BB maps, but I am not sure if that would affect the ability to get the internet on my BB.

Ok your browser is in the a folder on your desktop! for some reason it just get there! So when you open up this folder from you main screen all you have to do is select move up and it will move it out of the folder and put it back on the desktop your screen when you hit the blackberry key. you might have 2 folders on your screen that are identical it will be in one of those. the curve is the only blackberry system to use folders
