I have a Curve 8310 which I got yesterday on T-Mobile UK.

I have the T-Mobile web browsing software on there: web n walk (Opera mini).

I have installed a few applications of my own:

mgmaps
gmail (a java app to check my gmail)
later version of Opera mini

But none of the apps which I installed are working. They all load but I get connection errors.

The web n walk T-Mobile software works fine as does sending sms & mms.

Have I missed a configuration somewhere?

Options > Advanced Options > TCP

Leave the username and password blank but set the APN to wap.voicestream.com and see if that fixes your connection issue.

I tried changing the tcp setting to general.t-mobile.uk as I am on T-mobile UK but I still can't get the applications working.

When I try to install Opera Mini, I get the error "failed to connect to the internet"

When I search using mgmaps, I get the error "error searching"

Any other ideas? It has got to be a configuration problem somewhere since my GPRS connection is working on the pre installed apps! :(

Did you try using wap.voicestream.com??

I did and it worked.

Each time rebooting & taking the battery out. None of them work :(
