Default can't install opera mini :(

Please Login to Remove!

hi all,

i just came over from a palm treo 650. i'm having trouble even installing the opera mini browser to my 8320 (t-mobile).

am i not getting something?

i go to the page via my pc...i download the .zip file which has the .alx file thinking that i can do an installation through the application loader. but it doesn't work.

i go to the site through the BB browser...i keep going in circles.

am i missing something so elementary? i'm not even at the point where i have the whole 'pulling battery deal' yet.

HELP!

OK, it's been downloaded...

how to solve the next issue: "failed to connect to the internet."

:(

pulled battery as said in other threads, and even put my mobile number and password as suggested in the pinstack site.

it's running fine!

mind you, WITHOUT username and password entries.

to anyone else that is going to install opera, just go to the opera website and download and install straight from the site always works so quick and no need to deal with syncing

Can you please elaborate on the ota install? It tells me to transfer a .zip to the pda, which I can't get to work. I had Opera Mini on my 8100 and 7105t, but can't get it work on my 8320.

Thanks

Make sure you have the emulator set to blackberry. I had mine set up for Microsoft IE and it did not work. Then I changed it blackberry and went to the mini.opera.com link.
Hopefully it will work for you too.

Worked like a charm!! I've been trying to download opera for a long time, I tried to change the apn settings and did battery pulls but it would never install. So I followed your suggestion today and then I changed the apn settings, did a battery pull.....and Finnnnnnnnnnally!! Thank you so much!!
