Default Opera mini ?

Please Login to Remove!

I've tried since sept. 07 to get it working, been on opera forums, called my carrier and got APN numbers but still get the dreaded "cannot connect", is anybody with centennial wireless and getting opera mini working or any suggestions from someone?

if the carrier doesnt support blackberry's you may never be able to get it to work, i had that issue with my old provider, when i switched even without bb data and tcp settings everything was fine.

That's not really truth; I had my BB for over 6 monts in a carrier that didn't support blackberry at all and used Opera mini, Gmail, Google Maps and JiveTalk over a Generic Data Plan with no trouble at all.

shark1600: you should double check the APN settings and the Opera Mini permisions.

Mike did say may never be able.

Is it possible your carrier blocks 3rd party apps?

My carrier does not block 3rd party apps, i have plenty of them on my phone, thats why i can't figure out why opera mini won't work and it's really bugging me.

try to get your carrier-specific TCP/APN settings on this page http://www.operamini.com/help/connect/

No; that's why I had to use those third party applications; now that I have my BIS plan I can use all of them.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.1.17.06.3.1.17.0)

I used opera mini for awhile untill I got fed up with it. I think the BB browser is faster myself and its easier to use.

I did some research and found Centennial does not support IP data transfer so Opera will not work with Centennial unless they change that, it is the same service that lets you use your BB as a modem for your laptop
