Does anyone know of a way to use the blue LED (that flashes when blue tooth is being used) for email/SMS/etc. alerts instead of the hideous red one?
I guess it'd be like the color pearl hack for the Pearl, but for the LED in the Curve? Haha.

I dont think there is. I think thats only for BT, like you said. But I been known to be wrong before.

There's a program available called BlackBerryAlerts, which can control the LED and get about six different colors from it. You can assign a different color to emails, SMS, missed calls, voicemails, etc. Look in the Aftermarket Software section of this forum. I love the program myself - once you get used to what colors you've assigned, you can glance at your BB with the screen dark and see what's waiting for you. If, for instance, you have both email and SMS, it will alternatively flash two different colors. On mine, mail is purple, SMS is light blue (different from the Bluetooth blue).

If not, I'm almost tempted to have my dad open it up and switch them. Because after I used the blue tooth for the first time, I realized how ugly the red LED is. It definitely doesn't fit the phone, what was RIM thinking? Haha.

i can't find where i can change led light for jive talk and i should have the latested since i just DL it on monday. please help

Wow, interesting, hadn't heard that. I sure hope its an option that can be shut off though. I'm already using most of those colors for differentiating between email, SMS, PIN, missed call and voicemail with BB Alerts - and although I love JiveTalk, I want those colors for that bigger picture differentation for me, rather than use up the colors for different people's IM's. So I sure don't want JiveTalk clashing with BB Alerts.

He said it "will have" - i.e. probably in the next version, not the one that's currently released.

So I don't know if there's just something I'm doing wrong, but I bought BlackBerry Alerts, tried to install it and the Application Loader says that there are "no additional applications designed for my device" when I try to select it. Is there something special I have to do?

I did that already, still getting the same error. :/

Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Desktop Manager again, and for some reason it worked this time.
