Question Calendar Agenda View in 8310

Please Login to Remove!

I've owned by BB for a week. I have Agenda view as the default screen when opening the calendar. Prior to yesterday, when the calendar was opened it Agenda View opened with the current date on the top. Now it opens consistently with the earliest date found in my calendar, a recurring birthday.
How do I get back to the point where Agenda view opens at the current date? Thanks for your help

Welcome to the forums!

Try doing a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is still powered on), leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert.

If you switch to the day view, does it go to the same date?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8100: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Try changing the view to the day view, then back to the agenda view.

Hi Jeremy

I changed to day view - left options menu, saved results, it went to the old date in agenda. I reopened and it then went to day view.

Closed App - reopened.
Changed option to Agenda View. Closed app. Reopened remained on day view. closed app. reopened and then it went to agenda view, but to the old date...

Thanks Tony

Default Agenda view revisited 2

FYI..

If I select Today in the menu while in agenda view, there is a brief flash on the screen but it remains stuck on that first entry in the calendar. That calendar entry is a recurring birthday entry...

I removed that occurrence from the recurring date. It now goes to what is now the oldest entry in the calendar.

I sync with outlook. I don't see a setting in Outlook that specifies how long to keep appointments. with the BB the shortest period is 15 days...

Just trying to think of other items that might be having a bearing on this issue.

Any more ideas?

Thanks

Tony

Default Here's the solution

If there is nothing on your agenda for a specific day The Agenda View has nothing to show and it reverts back to the initial entry in your calendar with something to show.

You will always have something to show if the CALENDAR Options have a YES under Show Free Time in Agenda View. Once I made this change, the problem was solved.

I got this solution from Blackberry Support after ATT Customer Care was unable to resolve and I asked for referral up to BB support. Once you get to BB they are very thorough and patient.
