I want to buy a new BB device, but I couldn't be told if it can do the following:

I want to save e-mail attachments to my notebook.
I want to use the BB to connect to the Internet through it.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible with BB 8310?

You will not be able to save attachments received ON your BB to your notebook... not easily or direct to the notebook.

This applies to all current models of BB being sold, Curve and Pearl and others.

But please don't post double-post your questions here.... bad manners.
Two questions.

yup he can only do it by using his BB as a modem and get the actual email (w/ attachment) on his notebook's email client

Sorry for the double posting, but I usually don't check upon forums I cannot help, so I thought that someone with Pearl might not check the 8300 Series forum. 10x for your answers

Depending on the carrier, you might need to pay to tether.
