Exclamation All sms lost!! Warning!

Please Login to Remove!

Well, just be carefull.

I though my data was important for RIM, but after the browser hangs, I lost ALL MY SMS.

I have important data, so im very dissapointed trusting my data to RIM...

So if you have important data, just backup...

please go to options > status and post your file free. the device is trying to keep itself running by deleting sms/mms/call logs. follow this post Managing your BB Memory - Lost Call Logs and SMS

also welcome to the forums

Do you clear your browser cache once in a while?

Thanks for reading

yes I clean the cache frequently, seems like the web was very heavy and the browser cant handle. The sand clock just keep turning, till the browser closes, and all sms are gone.
I have a "not so old" backup, so at least Ill take back a couple of sms..but I dont like this type of bugs, even if its low memory, it could delete other data

what is your file free from options > status? the memory issue is to keep the device from locking up. unlike other devices when the blackberry runs out of memory, it attempts to keep working by deleting sms/mms/call logs and old calendar appointments.

Sorry, I forgot...
After the hang, free memory is 13mb

Its clear that the problem was the webpage (5-6MB, very heavy) but I prefer an error not opening the web, instead of lose data..

With 13Mb free (low already) and then a huge website, you will lose info.

Did you follow the instructions in the link above???

Yes, still reading the link

Thanks for the info, didn´t know that "strange" politic of delete data, when runs out of memory. Ill try to free up memory, and make backup frequently, cause you never know when you are going into a very heavy webpage

you want minimum 15mb, shoot for 17+ though to keep the device running smoothly.
