Hello guys, this is my first post in the forum, I just bought a 8320 Unlocked and got it yesterday. Actually it's a present for my father. I bought it unlocked because he travels overseas every week and he has like 6 different phones for each of the countries, so I decided to make his life a lit simple. He's a business guy and uses a lot of e-mail and all the day on skype. Therefore, before I give the present to him I will like to put some stuff on it, but I'm completely new on this.

First, Im using. Tmobile chip, but just to test
phone, I don't have any BB service right now. I know some of the countries hat my father has a wireless company that offers this service, but some of them not. My intention is to him use. Lot the Wifi service.

I donwload yesterday skype trial, and I'm unable to install it. When it tries to do he config automatically it says
no connection was found, therefore, I try to do it manually but I put all my info and click sign in and don't work, then sends me to background and gives me some error with java. Please guys I really need this favor on solve this. I know people can use this application over the Wifi. Thanks a lot guys.

Not all apps will take advantage of the wifi connection alone on the BB.

The only problem with using the BB with many different carriers is that in order for the device to work properly you need a BB data plan. The wifi connection will work for browsing but many apps won't work without the EDGE/GPRS connection or with a BB data plan that the wifi can tunnel through.
