Default 8320 wifi fixed?!! - 02-26-2008, 09:04 PM

wifi couldn't connect for days...
I UNinstalled some program.... then when my 8320 reboots it says i have java exception..
but the phone still worked...
days later i remember that i changed the option in my wifi settings to some crap
that was other than the "wifi preferred " it was supposed to be (i changed it to the correct one now)
whatever!!.. anyways...
for the life of me i couldn't get my router connected to my curve with a CHECK mark next to it

how i dread calling 611 for tmobile's support center.....

but i did.. and it was fixed in less than 4 minutes.....
(3 min and 30 secs of her overly nice voice spewing the usual plz's, thank u's etc)

this might help someone out there.. so here it goes:
click options
click advanced options
click Host Routing Table
- scroll down and highlight the BOLD text
click the dotted menu key (left of the scroll button)
click register now

you should receive a text saying your registered
your wifi should shortly turn from a "-" to a CHECK MARK

just so you know she had me open my browser a few times to make sure that something said wifi browser.... whatever....

maybe someone can repost this with the exact terminology and better explanation than I posted.... but I'm just trying to help someone to NOT have the headache's I did
