Default Help upgrading v4.3on my 8320!! - 03-02-2008, 09:52 PM

I've Downloaded the v4.3 Desk Mngr on my computer. But my curve still has v4.2. I followed the upgrading software steps. Only one problem: my "blackberry" desktop folder does not have "apploader" folder (C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry)

Where do I find the specific "Handheld Software???" I tried searching @ bb's site but all that's listed are Desktop Softwares.

Welcome to BB Forums.
There are two pieces of software - Desktop Manager and Handheld OS. Although DM 4.3 is out, Handheld OS v4.3 is not out yet for the 8320.

There is a Sticky Thread at the top of the 8300 Forum with the latest version (4.2.2.184).

Good luck!

Welcome to the forums.

Desktop Manager 4.3 does not contain the 4.3 OS that you are wanting.

welcome to the forums. your device software 4.2 may or may not be the latest version, but device software 4.3 (or higher) is not available for your device. desktop manager 4.3 doesnt have anything to do with device software version.

thanks for the welcome/replies.

Okay, so:

v4.3 DS {checked}
v4.2.2.180 OS {checked}

now what??? I don't have an "update now" icon whenever I open Desktop Manager. All I want to do is record videos on my curve. Are there any other applications I need to download??

to record videos you need to wait for the OS. it is part of what is rumored to be included.

The 8320 can not record videos. That feature will be available in a future upgrade. Nothing to do right now.

Mother..!!! really?? I thought the newer, available software updates included video rec'ing features. No?

What about "apploader" folder not showing up on my folders list??

No. The 8320 can not do video recording. Future operating systems. Nothing that it is available today.

The 8110, 8120 and 8130 have OS 4.3 already and can do video recording but it's not available yet for the 8320.
