Hi everyone,

I just got the 8310 and i'm having problems viewing video's. I've done my research thru this forums but i can't find what i need.

First i thought i could view .avi vids taken from my canon digi camera and transfer it to the media storage - blackberry - video folder...and voila..i should be able to view the video on the BB. No...only audio works.

So i dug around and heard ppl saying try.."any converter" app to convert my digi cam vids (.avi) into mpeg and i still cannot view them.

Can anyone help me on this?

Can you not just view .avi files from a digi cam and transfer it to the media storage and view it on the bb?

do you have to convert it? if so...what's my problem? (above)

any one noticed that the BB curve lags a lot especially when you just installed an app OTA? I have to reset it like 2-3 times a day just to get it to flow nicely from one icon to the other.

I'm running: v.4.2.2.163 out of the box

should i upgrade the OS? thanks for all your help!!!

btw, xplayer sucks..or i'm just dumb and i'm not sure what the controls are because i cannot do full screen anything.

Avi files need to be converted to BB specifics. Search the Media Section, there is a lengthy thread that explains in more details.
