Default Bluetooth connection problem

Please Login to Remove!

My computer recognizes my blackberry via bluetooth but Blackberry Desktop Messenger will not recognize the bluetooth connection. Have followed all the instructions in the guidebook, etc. What to do?

Welcome to the forums!

You will need to use a Bluetooth adapter that uses native Microsoft drivers in order for Desktop Manager to use the Bluetooth options. If the adapter is using the WIDCOMM drivers then it won't work.

I've read in a forum that if you delete the modem drivers in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Modem Drivers folder and then run the desktop manager program that it should restore them.

I have a usb bluetooth dongle and am having the same problem myself. I got the DM to see the BB once but haven't since.
