Question Factory Settings

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know how and if we can totally reset the blackberry curve 8310 to factory settings? So that EVERYTHING will be deleted and everything will be as it was when we first bought it?

Maybe that will fix an app error that occurs every time I try to open the pacman game.

The error message I get says, "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException".

Thnx!

If you think you are experiencing an issue with only a certain application, please do this instead: How do I delete applications from my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

If you want to really wipe your device of everything then do this: How to wipe the OS from a BlackBerry device? - BlackBerryFAQ

Welcome to the forums btw.

Thank you very much! Yea...I tried just deleting and reinstalling that one application but that didn't work, so that is why I opted to wipe out the entire bb and that seemed to work! ;) Thnx!

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Maybe you can reinstall the pacman game as opposed to the more drastic measure.

Delete the app, remove and replace battery, and reinstall the application. See if the error persists before you wipe the device.

Thank you. I tried everything, including deleting the app and removing the battery, and everything else I could think of, and that didn't work, so I just wiped out the bb.

I have a similar problem and have tried all the various methods, but I can't seem to get the link to work to reset the whole device?

Can anyone help?
