So I have the 8310 and a couple things have happened recently that are really annoying me. Hopefully someone here would be able to resolve them.

1. I have the missed call logo stuck at the top right of my screen that shows that I missed one call. Usually when you check the call logs, that symbol goes away, but it's been permanently stuck there for weeks now...I've pulled the battery to reset my phone and it does not work.

2. Now, I have had the voicemail logo showing for a few days. It says I have 2 voicemails, but I have checked them all and erased them all. Again, I reset the phone pulling the battery and that does not work.

Does anyone know how I can go about getting rid of these issues? I'm really getting annoyed and now I'm always checking my voicemail to see if I have more . Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Follow those tips, one of them should clear them.

Well, I tried them all and it did actually get rid of the voicemail issue but NOT the rogue icon that shows I have a missed call.

I'm assuming then the next step is wiping the OS and reinstalling it? What a pain!! Anything else that can be done here over this little issue?

I can't remember all the steps in the FAQ, but did you try calling your phone (creating a new missed call) and then viewing it to see if it will clear the other?

The final step if all else fails, is to reload the OS.

What's scary is that some people around here actually look forward to doing this! Ha!

After hours at the store they finally said they would have to wipe it, since they havent seen this before............BUT, I saw a post on this thread that actually worked for me (slight variation). I installed the Blackberry Manager CD that came with the phone. Then went to the backup and restore option with my phone attached. On the right side, I went down to Phone logs, and selected clear, and FINALLY cleared the missed call icon from my phone. Seemed to be the only thing that worked for me without wiping the whole phone.

I tried to do the Backup/Resotre Phone Call Logs Clear, but on my desktop manager the Phone Logs are not an available database to clear. The warning at the bottom of the window says "Databases that are unavailable in the list have been configured for wireless synchronization or wireless backup and are read-only. You cannot restore or clear them." Do you know anyway to get around this? (My BB is obviously a work-issued device).

I've had a similar problem with the message waiting icon showing 1 and when I go into messages I see nothing. It turned out to be a Missed Call notification that I overlooked. U can always try putting the cursor on the very top date, hit menu and then select mark prior opened. Might do the trick.
