Default 8320 question - 04-12-2008, 02:13 AM

i have an 8320 without a data plan but i get all the features like pin messaging bbmessenger etc. I know that i didnt sign up for data cuz i signed up for a pearl without data and then i put my sim card in my 8320 and i got all the features. i think thats weird cuz i thought you needed data to pin and im not using my wifi cuz i van pin anywhere can anyone tell me whats going on?

You have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your line... it's as simple as that.
You may not have signed up for one, but it's there nonetheless. Maybe your carrier added it automatically. Verizon Wireless does this in the US.

It's not possible to use PIN messaging and BlackBerry Messenger without the data plan.

ok i had a pearl without a data plan, i used the same sim card (remember no data plan), i put it in my 8320 and all of a sudden i have data, that doesnt make any sense

An address book entry on the SIM card can also be considered data.
But please call your carrier as advised by the Mod. Good luck!
