Just curious...before I do it and blow up my BB, can one just plug the BB into a USB port and access the file system? I can move an mp3 file or video file onto the BB manually using explorer without all the bloat of the desktop software.

If that doesn't work, does anyone know if installing the desktop software messes with the device at all... I've got it completely dialed in using BES without using the desktop software and I don't want it messing with any of my settings.

Dm wont hurt you BES at all. DM isn't necessary if you don't want to use it. But you will only be able to access your card and thats all.

I believe if you have a memory card and have mass storage enabled you can trnsfer media and sone files to the memory card as the PC will see it as a mass storage device.

I think desktop manager will also work fine with your BES activated device

yep, stress does this to me. I cant sleep when I am stressed. And with wifes surgery and the job situation I am wound tight.
